Drake Johnson has over 20 years of experience as a successful trainer and breeder of reining horses. He has won Championships and Reserve Championships at such prestigious events as the All-American Quarter Horse Congress, the USET Festival of Champions, and the Appaloosa World Show.

 

Drake is a multiple NRHA Futurity and Derby Finalist and USET Top 50 rider and is well known for his bridleless freestyle routines. He combines his true passion for reining with a sincere desire to pass on his knowledge to others. Many youth and non-pro riders have flourished under his guidance, and have successfully competed at all levels from local circuits through World Championships.

 

As well as training and competing Drake has been an NRHA judge for over 14 years as has judged a wide range of events including the Quarter Horse Congress and the NRBC. In addition, he also recently received his AQHA specialized judges card.
