Fee Schedule & Procedures for Transported Semen
FEE SCHEDULE:
· STUD FEE $ 1500.00 $ 1250.00 if booked by 2/1/2004
· EQUITAINER DEPOSIT $ 275.00
· SHIPPING CHARGES Fed Express or UPS Rate
· COURIER SERVICE TO AIRPORT $ 100.00 PER TRIP
(if necessary)
· LAB FEE $ 200.00

POLICIES & PROCEDURES:
All contracts must be signed and all fees must be paid prior to the collection of semen for transportation.
Drake Johnson Reining Horses requires that a negative uterine culture or approval from a licensed veterinarian be obtained prior to the initial shipment of semen. If after two cycles, the mare is not in foal, an additional uterine culture and cytology will be required.
Drake Johnson Reining Horses requires a minimum of forty-eight (48) hours’ notice for shipment of semen. It is suggested that the mare owner call Drake the first day of the mare’s cycle so that he will be prepared for the upcoming shipment. All shipments will be made on a first request basis. Collection days will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday throughout the breeding season.
The mare owner must return the equitainer within forty-eight (48) hours of receipt of semen shipment. A late fee of $ 25.00 per day will be charged for each day after this time.
It is required that the mare owner sign below to acknowledge that he/she has read and understands the outlined fee schedule and procedures. Please return this form with a signed service contract.

It is sometimes recommended that packages should be marked HOLD FOR PICKUP at the Fed Express Station, and we must have these instructions prior to shipping.

All semen must be ordered 48 hours prior to shipment. Arrange for your vet to check the mare. Late orders will be subject to an additional $25.00 fee. Upon receipt of the semen order, a Fed Ex tracking number will be faxed back to you that evening to verify receipt of the order. Mare owners are responsible for tracking any lost shipments.
